“THE VICTORY OF FAITH” – 5TH STEP TO FULFILLING FAITH

Wednesday 29th September 2010 – Pastor Mark Ballosingh

Victorious Faith must bring forth results. Faith that carries with it expectation brings forth the manifestation of Victory. Faith must carry with it expectation that there will be Victory. When you start to feel sorry for yourself and wonder why you are in this situation, it’s because you have not taken Faith and coupled it with the Expectation of Victory.

One’s Faith will bring one to conquer and overcome but when one doubts their Faith then there will be no Victory. 1 John 5 2-4: 2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments. 3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous. 4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, [even] our faith.

There is Victory for those who were left behind after the Rapture, even after all their suffering and tribulation there was Victory. Revelation 15:2 And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, [and] over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God.

When you serve a God who is accustomed to Victory then as a Child of God you understand Victory:-.

1 Chronicles 29:11 Thine, O LORD, [is] the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all [that is] in the heaven and in the earth [is thine]; thine [is] the kingdom, O LORD, and thou art exalted as head above all.

1 Corinthians 50 54-57: 54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. 55 O death, where [is] thy sting? O grave, where [is] thy victory? 56 The sting of death [is] sin; and the strength of sin [is] the law. 57 But thanks [be] to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

2 Samuel 23 10-12: 10 He arose, and smote the Philistines until his hand was weary, and his hand clave unto the sword: and the LORD wrought a great victory that day; and the people 11 And after him [was] Shammah the son of Agee the Hararite. And the Philistines were gathered together into a troop, where was a piece of ground full of lentiles: and the people fled from the Philistines. 12 But he stood in the midst of the ground, and defended it, and slew the Philistines: and the LORD wrought a great victory.

VICTORY – a state of mind, endurance, to overcome, to prevail. Battles are first in the mind, when the enemy attacks you 99% of the time he attacks your mind – takes control of your emotions and decisions.

Faith to emanate Victory one must have the will to conquer – despite the odds against me, I will conquer, I have the will to overcome.

Victory is always possible for the person who refuses to stop fighting.

If you are coward and never go to battle you will never experience Victory.

You can stand tall without standing on someone else.

You can have victory without having a victim.

Self conquest is the greatest of victories – Philosopher Plato. The biggest battle is not the outside forces but inner. It is easy to blame everyone and everything around than it is to accept self- blame. The Spirit Man wareth against the Flesh Man and the battle to defeat self comes, having the ability to say no to that old vice but yet something draws you in that direction. If you could have the Victory over you then you are on your way to being Victorious. I was there, been there, done that but I have the ability to walk away, the Blood prevails, Victory isn’t tied up in anything or anyone but lies in you.

As a Child of God you are more than a Conqueror, you are a Hyper-Conqueror and are pre-eminently, pre-destined to be a Victorious Conqueror. Romans 8 35-39 35Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?  36As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.  37Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.  38For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,  39Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord

God created man to be rulers and not to be ruled. Genesis 1:28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

God will bring you to Victory just when you think the situation is un-repairable, instead of trying to repair you have the authority to place that situation under your feet and crush it just like the reed. Matthew 12:20 A bruised reed shall he not break, and smoking flax shall he not quench, till he send forth judgment unto victory

God said I have placed all things under your feet…..the enemy cannot have you under his feet. Isaiah 25:8 He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth: for the LORD hath spoken it

3       Ways to Energize and Initiate Victorious Faith:-

1)      Declaration – Speak & Declare Prophetically. James speaks about the Power of the Tongue – set worlds on fire, conversely in the realm of Faith if you learn to declare Victory, when you say the word expect Victory. We need to take our focus off what the devil is trying to do and put it on what God is doing, “I am a Child of God and I am a hyper-conqueror”

Conquering Faith will have a Victor and not a victim. There will always be an opposing side in a battle but you can go into it knowing that “If God be for me, who can be against me”

David makes a declaration acknowledging God over him even though he himself was a King he knew God was superior to him and all that he has was through him. 1 Chronicles 29 10-11 10 Wherefore David blessed the LORD before all the congregation: and David said, Blessed [be] thou, LORD God of Israel our father, for ever and ever. 11 Thine, O LORD, [is] the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all [that is] in the heaven and in the earth [is thine]; thine [is] the kingdom, O LORD, and thou art exalted as head above all.

Victorious Faith is energized when we make the declaration that all we have is only through and from God. God is a Victorious God, the conquering Lion of Judea and I will walk and proclaim in Victory, to the World it may seem dim but my God his eyes rove to and fro and he reaches out his hands to me…I thank God he is great and victorious…”My Faith is in you Lord!!” My Faith is wrapped up in a God who understands Victory.

Declare it in advance Faith…Faith cometh by hearing and hearing through the Word of God, use the Word over your trials and situations.

2)      By thought – thoughts form you and shape you….what a man thinks is contemplated in the heart and manifested in actions. Faith is not an emotional thing..….be positively focused and take Victory in your mind and thoughts. 90% of human beings make decisions based on emotions but you must have Faith and Victory in your thought process…Faith undergirds Victory…Victory is the end product of Faith…every time your Faith diminishes the Victory vanishes, Salvation is based on a faith walk with God. We cannot touch God or see God so we believe in God in Faith.

3)      By Action – Victory will always come out of a conflict or opposition. Some Believers only like to hear about the Blessings and the good things and not the hard times and conflict.

The account of David and Goliath…..when Saul gave David his armor to go into battle it was too heavy for him, he could not fight in someone else’s armor, similarly you cannot fight your battle on someone else’s strength and Faith. In battle there is a time to pray and a time for action for Faith without works is dead.

Goliath under-estimated David not knowing he wasn’t an ordinary person walking up to him to battle and he assessed David in the physical but Faith doesn’t operate in the physical and by sight. Victorious Faith is something that the enemy under-estimates, the enemy assesses at face Value and not Faith Value and doesn’t see the God working on the inside of you.

Being able to see the Victory in advance is Faith in Action……Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Your actions make the Victory final. Faith and Victorious Faith will allow you to take captivity and make it captive. When I look at the battle in Faith, I do not see the enemy I see the Victory.

But Victory isn’t always what we picture it to be as it may not be what God has in store for us….David would have not pictured himself being a King and just as Believers we sometimes under-estimate ourselves and the Victory of God in our Life..Deliverance and Victory is not always what we think it will be. The account of Absalom, the son of David who would rape one of David’s daughter and seek to take the life of his Father…when another one of David’s son saw the plot of his brother he went after him to kill him….It is said David cried and wept at the news of the death of Absalom while everyone was celebrating the Victory…

Are we able to handle the Victory? When it touches someone close to us, do we fly in Gods’ face and question him?

Faith is the Victory that overcomes the World, are you ready for the Victory, can you handle the Victory?
